IAM District 161
The offices of IAM District Lodge 161 are located on 330 Belden St. in Lake Charles, Louisiana. Eight local lodges are serviced out of this district. LL 281 in Shreveport, La. represents employees of Rockwell-Collins, Yulista, International Paper, and CBD Training. LL 470 in Lake Charles, La. represents employees of the Axiall and PPG Chemical facilities. LL 1317 represents employees of Citgo and Firestone in the Lake Charles area, as well as Dyncorp and L-3 Vertex employees in the Baton Rouge area. LL 2518 in Alexandria, La. represents employees of the former Dresser Corporation which is now owned by General Electric. LL 2576 in Tyler, Texas represents employees of Hood Packaging and American Railcar. LL 2641 in Kilgore, Texas represents employees of the East Texas Saltwater Disposal Company. LL 823 in Pt. Arthur, Texas represents employees of Chevron-Phillips, Huntsman, and Valero Refinery. LL 1999 in Lufkin, Texas represents employees of Lufkin Industries.
All of these locals and contracts are serviced by Craig Martin. Craig comes out of Local 470 and has been serving as the Directing Business Representative for 7 years. Craig also served as past president of LL 470. Craig worked as a machinist at PPG Industries before being elected DBR in 2009 when Terry Taylor retired after many years of service.
